From the main home screen, tap menu
Tap Settings, then Privacy
Tap Factory data reset
Tap Reset phone
Enter your password, then tap Yes to confirm

That's how to do it on the old Galaxy S anyway

Default How to factory reset alternate method

Hi just to let you know you can also factory reset by entering (safe mode).

To do this switch phone off, switch on and hold power botton and home key and volume ***up *** key at the same time this will take you to (safe mode).

There are other options there too but id leave them alone until you have searched forums first for answers on what they do as they may damage firmware

I think your error was pressing down key this takes you to download mode something a little bit more knowledge required on

I hope this helps you dont forget to backup passwords email address as if you forget they are a pain to resett lol

Hi
I want to flash stock firmware using Odin Mobile and make a cleaning of my Internal SD Card (NOT external SD!) in order to remove old leftovers like unused folders and files.
Calendar and contacts are synced with Google and I have a full TI backup.

Will wipe everything on my Internal SD?
Does anybody know some good "clean up app" I can use instead?

Thanks

You are going to do a factory reset, right?

Wiping data would wipe your whole sd card (not external sd! ). Your USB storage wont be cleaned up.

OK so I just have to secure pictures, GPS maps and this kind of data that TI do not backup.
And then - of course - reorganizing home screen ...
Thanks

Yup, good luck!

Well, I'd recommend you to first flash and then wiping data and cache from Recovery Mode.
