10.1v vs Acer Iconia videos (HDblog)

Very nice series of videos comparing 10.1v and Acer Iconia, from HDblog (Italy).

One thing that pops up is that 10.1v is way better. BTW, is it PLS?

I didn't think so but the screen is definitely nicer than the Acer

Interesting... I also didn't assume the 10.1v had a PLS screen. Then again, Acer could have just went with an extremely cheap TFT panel that looks like crap.

For what I've read from multiple sources, Acer Iconia's screen is regarded as a good one.

Iconia is supposed to be a BVA but I saw some of them in stores with what looked like TN...
Anyway PLS wins over BVA in every category, including reaction time.
Basically PLS is IPS + better angles/colors/reaction time.

What is a BVA?

And what a difference between those screens. Also it looks as if the acer screen was .2 or .3 inches bigger than the samsung one. Maybe just my eyes

Having used both, I'd say overall the 10.1v is a better tablet. Overall feel, looks, build quality beats the Acerbic model. Much less Bezel from the (non-scientific!) viewpoint of feeling and looking like it when you hold it!
