Its saying bad because the file hosted on the main site is bad. I downloaded it 6 times. They all have the same md5 code so I know they downloaded right but they don't match the md5 code they have posted.

The file also says its an invalid compressed folder.

I had to find a mirror that had one that checked out fine.

Any ideas?? Do I need to wipe the phone first?

I've already downloaded CM7 three times and I keep getting that same error
I had the exact same problem. I used a different microSD card and everything was ok after that.

Thanks for stating your solution, but for others please dont assume right away that it is your sdcard. I can confirm that the file hosted as of right now 10:35pm central usa, is bad or faulty. So it will not flash. So look for another alternative, or wait until the wonderful cm team updates the nightly thats on their server.

Not true. If you hold the power and volume down key, the system will do a factory restore into CM7. The same happened to me last night.

Unhappy The proper cm7 g2x .zip file

I followed all of the steps to install cm7 but when I download the actual cm7 file from cyanogenmod site but every time I try and install the file is corrupted or can't open it. Can anyone give me the right link to a non corrupted download link. This is driving me crazy.

I had a similar problem. Once the external memory is in a different partition, I had to copy the zip file to the root of my SD card. When I booted in recovery I was then able to select apply zip from SD card and flash the rom.

Does CM7, now being nightly, get released every night from now on? Meaning, will there be another release in a couple of hours, maybe tomorrow?
