[Q] Brightness Problem

Hello,

I'm currently using a 1.2 rooted NC dual booted with Phiremod. (I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6&postcount=23) and I have one problem. I can't seem to change the brightness of the screen on either OS. If I try to lower it through the display settings, it doesn't dim and vice versa when I raise it up.

Is there a solution or fix to this that doesn't depend on apps?
