You should be able to just do a "full wipe" and flash.

Thanks. I will do just that in few mins once it is done downloading. I really need a good backup and restore app. Looks like each time i flash i have to RESTORE all my apps and settings....what a pain.

u r going from froyo to gingerbread a full wipe seems obvious.....

Whenever I try to download it only downloads 701bytes then says download complete.....tried dolphin mini and stock browser, anyone else have this issue?

I believe Opera / Mini doesn't have that issue...
