[Q] SPB backup crushed my tg01!!!

Hi guys... i have donned backup with spb backup. When i flashed new ROM and tried to restore files, SPB crushed my toshiba... then i did Pin recovery method to flash new Rom. How to restore my files from backup safely? Thanks...

had the same problem back on my tg01.. DO NOT use SPB backup! it corrupts your ROM. use PIM backup!

Yes i cannot recommend SPB Backup, either the backup file is corrupt and will not run so i cannot restore my backup, or somehow the restore has not worked and something is strange with the rom after restore, like functions not working properly, and finally failed backups.

You can't use SPB backup to restore files from a ROM to other, just with the SAME ROM, but that's not SPB fault, it's an universal rule.....

To transfer PIM dates from one ROM to other the best is :

Pimbackup
or Myphone
or Microsoft Exchange

To recover your backup, try to come back to the original ROM.

I was actually talking about restoring to the same rom, i would never bother trying to restore to a different rom! Of coarse its possible the OP was trying to do that.

i'm using my phone but i don't upload everything on server most of my files that i need are now trapped in SPB backup file! Original Rom was "orange rom" there is no way to find same again... How to extract them? Is there any method to get my files back??? Thanks to everyone for helping me

flash back to orange rom. restore from spb backup. backup with pim backup. flash desired rom. restore with pim backup.
