[Q] Screen Calibration for Streak 7

Does anyone know if there is a screen calibration for the Streak 7? I can find info on how to do it on the Streak phone but not specifically for the 7. I tried the power off then on again holding +- volume - but the unit just locks up with only the soft buttons on and nothing else happens. Had to hit the hard reset button to get it back up again.

if no Calibration - tell me why my screen does not respond? Is it a dud?

Hi have contacted Dell, But because I bought it off Amazon - I am redirected to the Dell US website. They then redirect me to Dell Australia for support - because I have an Australian Address??? Vicious Loop. Help. I would be happy to put on a different ROM if I knew it was going to fix the problem. Surely there are others out there who have had similar issues?????

Moderators can probably remove this thread - as I have now sent the unit back to Amazon for replacement. It appears that this issue is unique, as nobody has responded or commented.

What exactly was your issue with the scree? The issue I have is the center backlight looks like its out. It appears as if there are 3 LED backlights and the center one went out so I sent it to Dell for repairs. They sent it back and it was okay for a couple of days and now when I hold the streak 7 a certain way the center backlight will flicker off... I wished they would just send me a new one... Can you tell me exactly what your issue was with your screen?

The Screen would stop responding to touch. The soft buttons would still work - I had to push the power button so the screen would turn off - then push the power button again - and it would be ok. Sometimes it would not be ok and I had to do this serveral times to get control back. There were no problems with the screen dimming. I was lucky - as I just sent it back to Amazon within the 30 days of first purchasing. I just got my replacement - all good so far.

I have dealt with Dell alot in the past with PCs and Laptops - just keep sending it back - or get cranky with them and demand a whole unit replacement - as this one is a dud. "The squeaky wheel is the one that gets oiled"..
