Default Battery cover mod

So I did a little experiment last night with my battery cover. It went great. I managed to maintain a mostly stock look and added a lot of tackiness so it has more of a rubbery texture to it.

I used this clear coat, about 5 anywhere.

I only did 2 coats so it wouldnt add to much thickness. I waited about 2 hours between. I did not sand or do any kind of prep work other than clean it.

Here is how it looks next to a stock cover.

Mine is on the right. Hope this helps everyone that wants to maintain a semi stock look with a lot better feel. As far as protection goes...... yea, I doubt it offers any at all. But I like it.

Please, if u attempt this, remove the cover from the phone first. I know this may seem silly, but there are those type of people out there.

I've been KANGBANGED!!!!!

Just a quick update, I guess that particular clear is very temperature sensitive, that being said it pretty much melted and stuff was getting stuck to it. So I now have a completely sanded down back cover, looks nice and still easier to hold than the stock cover

I did your mod the other day using the clear coat for plastic got some of it at OSH applied 2 coats came out great, no sanding just cleaned cover with some alcohol and paper towel. It covered up all the scratches. first day was slippery but its good now.
