[REQ] Sidekick 4G Lockscreen

I don't know if this is in the right section but if anyone can get the Sidekick 4G lockscreen working on our phones it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You're right that is pretty sweet. I'm sure once the source is released we should be able to port that, or even better someone will come up with an app/clock design that would work with widgetlocker or something.

It's annoying that I can't post pics or anything until I get to 10 posts, cause I was going to link the image. I searched for it on google, and it's cool.

I thought the source code was out? I did a Google search and found a link to Samsung's website with a download link. I tried to post it but I don't have a high enough post count. I agree it would be awesome to get this on our phones.

Just put the link in quotes, if the rom is android based it should be as easy as going into system>app and finding the lockscreen .apk, you could be the first to get it working as a nice contribution to the community

For some reason I couldnt download the source from Samsungs website. I did find this link that had a system dump though. I downloaded that but i cant find anything named lockscreen .apk anywhere. Do you know if it might be listed as something else? Also once I do find it can I install it like i would any other apk file? Thanks for the help!

Lockscreen info is built into framework-res.apk if I'm not mistaken.

Also, it wont be as easy as just installing it. Someone would have to recompile the apk with the required file changes.

Ok I found the framework res apk in the system dump. Do you know where I might be able to find a tutorial or anything? Ive been searching but havent really come up with anything. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
