CifsManager doesn't work for me, keeps saying can't find folder, have it set up correctly, went back to using ES File Explorer to stream videos...!

GScript solution is cumbersome for me (when I want to start OpenVPN, I would always have to execute the script before to load the two modules - too many clicks!).

I created the following wrapper script:

Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/slow-work.ko
insmod /system/lib/modules/tun.ko

/system/xbin/openvpn_orig $*
To create it:

Code:
cd /system/xbin
mv openvpn openvpn_orig
vi openvpn # here paste the content above and save
chmod 755 openvpn
I have configured OpenVPN settings NOT to load tun module by default, and now everything works and modules get loaded every time I start the connection.

Hope it helps!

Hi
I am looking for the tun.ko module only as I want to use VPNC widget to access my company's network via a cisco VPN.
I have an xperia neo, standard ROM 2.3.3, root, locked bootloader and build 4.0.A.2.368, Kernel-Version 2.6.32.9-perf.
It is a german version.
Can I try this tun.ko which is for the xperia play without ruining my system and if so how can I do this?
As an Android newcomer I would need some detailed instruction as I only dealt with windows and windows mobile so far.

Thank you very much in advance!

Just use this tun.ko, it should work for Neo also. It wont impose any ruining.
Follow instructions in first post.

But I believe CISCO vpn works without this module. It is most for openvpn.
You can try search market for cisco vpn.

First of all tks for really fast reply!

instructions in first post include more than just tun.ko.
should I just skip all other.ko's like this:

adb push tun.ko /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
cp /sdcard/tun.ko /system/lib/modules/
cd /system/lib/modules/
chmod 644 tun.ko
insmod tun.ko

Can I enter this in the terminal emulator which I have on my neo?
