I guess when the instructions says stock, it just means the latest stock firmware right?

I was originally under the impression that I had to restock to my original at&t firmware. I guess that's not the case?

Thanks in advance and huge thanks to alterbridge!
I believe that this is using the latest stock firmware. In the instructions it says that you need to be on the GB ROM before flashing the new ROM so first you are flashing the stock GB ROM then you are flashing the Overcome GB ROM.

I'm downloading now but it's slow for me. Funny this hits right when I told myself that I flash ROMs too often and need to just be happy with what I have. Looking forward to this.

DONATE TO ME
Does this have the greenish icon and the blackish original gingerbread theme (away with the blue popup windows!) as seen in OCK's theme on SGS ? Love that theme. Samsung has horrid styling.

Just wondering, don't shoot me
I AM ON VACATION
I know, I still had lots of PMs and emails to answer, problems to debug, features to implement, updates to release, people to help, etc, but it'll just have to wait. But do not despair, I will return soon to procrastinate some more.

Hi. Thanks for responding. So just to confirm, it's ok for me to flash the gb stock safe over my current overcome 1.6.4 install? Sorry if I sound redundant. I'm just stricken with fear over the thought of bricking my tab.

Thanks.

Follow the guide. If you're re-stocking through odin you can flash it over the top of anything. Back up the contents of your internal SD too, it normally wipes that as part of the process.

You have 2000 posts but still don't understand why it's important?

Even aside from the junk left behind on internal SD, you've also got persistent system settings which can really mess things up badly. It'll more than likely boot, but expect it to be FC city.

Default No init.d folder????

I just noticed that there is no init.d folder in /system/etc! My very limited Lunix knowledge tells me this is weird :P
Oooh! All this knowledge is giving me a raging brainer!

I flashed straight from cf via recovery working great so far no probs

Check first post ROM INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Download the installation guide attached to this post. If you are already running Gingerbread AND have the CF-Root kernel installed you can put the installer on your SD card and flash away. IF YOU ARE NOT ON GINGERBREAD YOU MUST FOLLOW THE GUIDE. FAILING TO DO SO WILL SCREW YOU UP BIG TIME
