[Q]Why i can't root my phone

Hello i got an xperia x8 and i want to install gingerbread so i need to root it first but SuperClickOne( the program i use) it stop at Waithing for device but my phone is conected and on charge !

has you got enabled debugging mode?

yes debugging is on

turn on debuuging mode and connect your phone as massive storage

then enable ONLY CHARGE

in adition for better help i need your device data, android version, kernel,
and if you was did anymore on your device...themes etc...

u can try this method:
First step, instal PC Companion, so that the drivers for your phone is installed (if already installed, skip)
Second, download Bin4ry's X10Flashtool v 0.2.9.1 (search it)
Third, Extract, run x10flashtool.exe
Fourth, enable USB DEBUG on Settings, Application, Development. on your phone
Fifth, Connect your phone via USB, do NOT mount the sdcard, simply press back when asked that 3 options
Sixth, Click root, and wait, done. check if there is superuser app on your phone, if not, try root it again.
