Question About Hyperdroid GBX v.12

Hi, i have just installed this rom and everything works fine but i cannot edit build.prop to increase the size of the icons. I have downloaded different file managers but after i change the line from 167 to 240 i cannot save the file, it says Permission Denied. Also i cannot copy extra ringtones to the ringtones folder and thus change the ringtone, again permission denied. If you can help pls respond. Also is there any way to increase battery life other than those reported all the time?

Hi! Try with Root Explorer, navigate to /system folder. There is a button in the upper area. If it shows "Mount R/W" then push it (r/w means read/write permission). But if it shows "Mount R/O", then i don't know what's the solution...

But this doent make it permanent. After every reboot it will be 167 again.

It makes it permanent if you manage to save the build.prop file...

The workaround I used was to edit the build.prop file on the rom before installing it. Then when it installs, the icons are the size I want to have.

yes, you can surely edit it while its still in the signed zip before install, but post about Root Explorer's (for example) button "Mount r/w" is also true, itshould allow you to save build.prop and then you can try remounting it as r/o again, it shouldnt change back
