Thumbs up Amazing manga reader

Thanks for amazing reader. I spent long time searching for usable app to read my manga and Komik was only usable at all. And not only usable but with very clean design and simple settings.

My tips for making Komik even better:
  • Advanced settings should be available from komik browser screen and not only from detail
  • Display landscape picutre in portrait. With tablet, it is not too comfortable to turn it to side every time there is some landscape page between portrait ones. Other comic viewers allows to display such page in portrait. Display it simply smaller (fit to width) or larger with possibility to move picture on screen to see it whole.
  • Option to ignore "thumb" directory (I have some larger volumes with many parts and after I read one part, it is really annoying to go through all thumbs to reach next part)

PS: I found in this thread also perfect viewer, which is another great manga reader but I like Komik more as it doesn't need tons of settings and simply work.

So far I've only really tried Komik.
I like the simplicity of it, no cluttering, no unnecessary options. But it is slow to load pages, especially when CBR file is a 100+ pages (15-20MB)
Also, sensitivity of the touch to turn pages or access page list is too strict, too often it thinks one wants to swipe-turn pages, so one has to tap several times to get the right tap and turn the page.

Finally, seems like it won't display GIF files in CBR even though the list view of thumb pages will display properly.

Would be nice too to be able to choose which cover comes as main cover in the "shelf" view, maybe by reading a specific image file at the root of each directory?

EDIT: PDF support is much much more involved than I thought. All the open source solutions are unsatisfactory. I am going to have to port over a library myself. That is by itself a couple month project. I think I am going to table PDF support as a priority until I get the rest of the application into a state that I am more happy with. I will get back to it after a couple of releases.

Default order

I have one problem. When the manga exceeds 50 chapters, they arranged in the following order. (1), 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 (2) 20
and when they are + 100 its 1 , 100 101 and so on. how do i fix this

I think your app feels different and has a unique charm. Advertising is very well done – it doesn't interfere in navigating around the library thumbnail, but is noticeable while being well integrated and minimal. Another pleasant surprise was double-tap on the left or right page edge for navigating. Overall, I thought Komik was a delightful experience.
