There was apparently a lack of carebear. [koush]
*new -bln ♢get BLN pro app here♢
*note about bln from creams
"1. Upon receiving notification when deep sleep state of the terminal, wake_lock once
2. Thereafter, regardless of whether the lights blink or continuous LED, hold the wake_lock.
3. End event lighting from BLN Control App (access to sysfs) and release the regulator in wake_unlock.
4. migrate to deep sleep.
5. These repetitions."
-in other words, if you use the pro app to eventually turn off led's and thus disabling the wakelock then the phone will deep sleep again and battery life will be normal
special thanks to akent, neldar and creams for the work with bln
-use of setcpu is not recommended!,
the kernel takes care of itself
*note
- kernels now have (v1.7+) clockworkmod modifications thanks to J_rodd. it gets rid of all the extra no's which are very annoying, also some other mods "more Amon_RA like"
-If you like it, head over to J_rodds thread to thank him
-J_rodds mods haven't been implemented on v1.8 (back in for v1.9)
-We all know that clockworkmod is the hard work of Koush and I take no credit for it. If you have any problems with this, please do not bother koush. please post here or pm me
*please read
a quick note about the buttons for recovery. "most" recoveries will use the volume rocker to move up and down and the home button to select. this recovery not only uses the volume rocker to move up and down but also the soft menu and home button respectively. the power button will select and the back soft key will go back.
by using using the soft menu, you can rapidly scroll down through all your files to the desired one...it also can be done with the volume rocker, but it takes a little longer... *recovery keys
scroll up ↑ = volume+ or home
scroll down ↓ = volume- or menu
select ✓ = power
back ☇ = back (or highlight "++++go back++++")

1st way: when no access to odin (or just plain sick of it) go to the market and get DarkyROM2 Tool
then I make a folder called zimage and then a subfolder with the kernel version
-extract the zimage from the .tar and place it in the "version folder"
-then flash/install file from SDCARD
2nd way:
-install as you would a rom through odin (using pda)
-put the phone in download mode by pressing (volume- & home & power), then volume+ to confirm
-doesn't wipe or no need to..
once you install the kernel, to get root...
-download the superuser attachment
-place superuser zip on your sd card
-power off phone
-then press and hold (volume+ & home & power)...keep holding until clockwork recovery pops up (takes 2 or 3 cycles)
-then flash su zip from sd
-also flash liblights from recovery for bln
-to remove yellow triangle
1st way;
-after you odin in a "jame bond" kernel (you will now have root)
-reboot, then back to download mode and install the stock kernel with odin.
-then reflash the "jame bond" kernel with DarkyROM2 Tool
2nd way;
-search galaxy jig on ebay (buy..wait for ups)
-then once you "run the jig" the triangle will be gone
-flash all future kernels using the Darky app and it won't show again
*note latest su and liblights are under downloads in first post
A kernel from Thailand is very nice to have , but we do need some more infos
Like what is different on this kernel , what is already added , if its rooted e.t.c.
[QUOTE=this kies and odin is all new to me, hopefully soon we can have clockwork so the kernels can be flashed from recovery

Looking forward to lots of good stuff from you. I am about to get my SGS2 (as and when it launches in India actually) and if you get us awesome stuff on SGS, I assure you some donations
Let's make Galaxy S II the best hacked device EVER!!!

like the title says wip (work in progress), for right now it is a stock kernel, really not worth flashing other than a different kernel version in about phone
I'm testing an uv version right now, the downside is it takes time to truly compare...
-result of first uv=fail, I went to much
