Does Transformer actually play any video?

I'm trying to figure out how to play recorded TV shows on my Transformer. I'm failing completely. (Later edit: See solution below)

I have three players - the built-in player, RockPlayer, and VPlayer.

My recordings are all located on servers on my LAN, accessible either via DLNA service or standard LAN shares. The files are normal transport stream (*.ts) recordings of HD shows captured from broadcast television.

If I open the "MyNet" app, I can see my media servers and all of the TS files show up under the Video tab. But if I try to load any of them (from either of two different DLNA servers, PS3 Media Server and Nero Media Home), the player tries for a moment, then reports "Fail to Load". This is consistent across every show that I've tried.

If I open either RockPlayer or VPlayer, I can only see the local storage. I can't find any way to direct them to a server for content.
