Thank you. I purchased a used Nexus S 4G that was already rooted and had the ICS rom installed. I just wanted to get back to stock rooted to play a little since the phone is new to me and this post had the exact rom I needed. Should be stickied. I say that because I am not sure if the other stickied [REF] post with all the OTA's will keep root or not. I think not if they are indeed the actual OTA roms. I didn't want to mess with having to root again since it was already done and this allows me a clean slate to work from.

Thanks.

Is 4G supposed to work for this ROM with the tethering fix? I can do hot spot with 3G but 4G disconnects when I turn on the hot spot.

Would rooting a brand new phone in this method cause a phone to lose 4G for some reason? I rooted using this guide with a brand new nexus s 4g and could not get 4G to connect for the life of me. So, I unrooted back to stock also using this guide and boom, my 4G worked again but now I am not rooted. Could flashing that deodexed rom/recovery break something? I really don't understand how/why that could have happened. No matter which rom or how many times I wiped everything I could not get 4G to connect...it would get stuck at "obtaining ip address". When I flashed back using the images it worked.

(Yes, I bought one for my wife and one for me. One was new one was used both from ebay)

Did you do a Profile update and a PRL update after the Flashing? I know I had to do that inorder for it to work.
