Default [Q] Aria not booting

Hello, I have an Aria that was flashed with FR008 and was running fine for a long time. It was recently dropped in a toilet, but after letting it dry for a few days it seemed to be running without any issues. This morning it was frozen so I pulled the battery, but on the reboot it was just stuck at HTC and would not move past that for well over 15 minutes until I just pulled the battery again. I tried to go into CWM, but it just stays at the HTC screen forever. I also tried flashing back to stock through fastboot and SDK, the ROM got sent over, but the phone still does not boot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I could start with the fact you dropped your phone in the toilet. Not to be rude, but I would sorta contribute it to that.

DONATE TO ME
I'm no doctor but I'd say we've got a drowning victim here.

The phone may have dried out but getting the moisture in there in the first place will start the corrosion process...also, moisture can linger for a very long time. If its not under warranty pull the phone completely apart, its not very complicated, and get some compressed air and get every last nook and cranny blown dry and leave the phone apart in a dry place atleast for a day or two to make sure its dry..

Sent from my cm7 Aria.

Compressed air might not be the best idea because it can push the water deeper into harder to reach areas. A better method is to take the phone apart (as much as you are comfortable doing without damaging it further -- at the very least take off the back cover and battery) place the phone inside a small plastic bag and toss in a few of those anti-moisture packets that they put in shoeboxes and electronics packaging, seal the bag and leave it for a day or two.

Good luck.

I'd take phone back cover and battery out and place it in a Tupperware with (un-cooked rice). Make sure its sealed well. That's if you can't find any desiccant. Leave it be for a couple days. Friend did the same thing as you but with his evo. His phone works still.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. It's been about 4 weeks since it was dropped in the toilet. We dried it out w/ rice for about 2 days then turned it on and it was working no problem. Also, I let the "HTC" logo stay for about 30 minutes, and suprisingly it booted up. Then when I went to reboot it, it just stayed at the HTC splash screen and made no progress. I'm thinking there's permanent damage to it.
