Default [Q] New notification sound without root?

Where should I place a new notification sound so that Gmail can use it?
Thanks

If I recall correctly. You create a folder on the sdcard called notifications and put the sound file in it. You should then be able to assign it.

You create a folder named media. In that folder a folder named audio. In that folder a folder notifications and ringtones. The files u put in the notifications folder you can use to select it for gmail and (tatataaa) notifications.
