The thing is when you install an app from the market and move it to sd,it always moves to ext sd.but when u install a game or stuff that has a large data component it always moves into int. sd.thats where the whole thing is helpfull.i currently have abt 5 gigs of game on ma phone, which was previously impossible due to the lower capacitty of the int. sd.but as they are swiped now i can hav as many games i want at the same tym.the catch bein whenever u get sum app with apps to sd feature and move it to sd it will always move into ur current ext sd not internal.int only for large data component off apps.

My micro sd card was formatted with Ext4 before swapping the fstab file. I don't see the swap in Internal to External & vice versa as mentioned in first post. Both Internal & External is not recognisable i.e. it shows 'Unavailable'. Is Ext4 fs supported one? Do i need to use fat32 or ext2 as the file system in micro sd card. Ideally how should i partition/create file system in SD card?

Thanks in advance for ur reply!

The sdcard should be formatted as fat32. I have not tried it on Ext2 or Ext4. Are you using this on I9003 or I9000? This is basically meant for I9003 not sure about I9000.

OK so now I have to choose between standalone apps/ games and those huge (can only be downloaded over wifi) games. But again I guess it's much better than before. Sucks having stuff installed in 3 different locations tho.

I'm trying it on my I9003 Galaxy SL. hExt3 or Ext4 is better choice of FS than fat32. I tried with Ext4 & it does not work. Let me see if i could apply some tweak. The only thing i fear is screwing up the file in the absence of complete back tool like Samdroid which will do exact restore.

You r missing the permission for the File Explorer app to have root permission to modify system file? H'v u rooted ur phone? This is mandatory

After u h'v rooted ur phone (u can get instruction on this forum), go the the setting options of the file explorer app that u r using & give root access to modify system files. Hope this woks for u!

Have you rooted your phone? if yes then mount the system files in RW mode from RO (read only). You need to have root permission for this. You can only then replace any files in the system/etc.
