[Q] Does your Sensation have a flush lens cover?

There seems to be a bit of a thing going on, on the vodafone forums, where people are getting replacements phones as it is believed there should be a lens cover which sits flush with the back of the phone. When I take my rear cover off, there is just a hole for the camera, I thought this was by design so the camera is recessed to prevent damage/scratching.

All the pics I can find on the net looks the same as the phone I received. Does anyone actually have a phone with this flush lens cover? Or is everyone's the same?

mine is recessed also. I thought it was good design tbh. Not heard of any lens covers.

The guy on the vodafone forums is certain the one he looked at in a store had an extra lens cover, flush with the case.

No-one else seems to have a flush cover though, could it be the model in store is a demo model? Different to the production run?

I cant believe HTC would send out THAT many faulty units.

Just seen post on Vodafone forums, my Sensation has no flush lens cover. So not sure if that correct or incorrect

How many phones do you see now with lens covers? Barely any. It makes much more sense to just recess the camera into the shell slightly. There is no loss in picture quality and they save money, so it's perfectly logical. I think in his excitement the person on the Vodafone forum simply made a mistake and thought he saw something that wasn't there. No other person (AFAIK) has said they saw a lens cover on the phone, so it's not unreasonable to assume this person is incorrect.

Mine also has no lens cover, just recessed.

I dont think there is any lens cover.

its not big deal, there are always some people who looking for 100% perfect dream phones.

Looking at most photo's, there isn't a lens cover.

Someone went into a vf store and also called p4u seems demo phones have cover, all our phones don't. A vf rep is contacting HTC to see which its supposed to be. See here:

I suspect it is for demo only.
