[Q] Shipping with 2.3????

I just took a look at Sprint's website and they now have EVO's shipping with 2.3, does this mean that we will be able to use the kernel that was used for those models to help out with developing roms with 2.3? Sorry if this was in the wrong place or if this information was known and not helpful.

Ships with Android 2.3"

So theres an official 2.3 version of android for the Evo,just not for those of us who have already purchased our Evo's? How does that work?

This sounds odd. Maybe they updated the page too early? and this means GB Update soon?

I thought I was going nuts but right in their page it says ships with 2.3 smh... I hope it means something good for us

Says by the end of June...According to CNET > It's an old post from April, but it seems to be accurate after seeing the "Ships with 2.3" on the Device page...

That wouldn't make sense to have the update by the end of June if I can order a white one from Sprint.com today and have it to my house with 2.3 in two days...

I agree with you...I think it's time we all mass-calling the sprint reps ;)

Maybe someone can get some scoop. Ill try.

i heard through the grapevine that we'll be getting 2.3 with sense 2.1...buuuut i take it all with a grain of salt, and i even work for sprint ( not on the wireless side though)
