Default Droid Charge Battery

Anyone not totally impressed with the battery life of this phone? I actually think the Thunderbolt held a better charge.

I got nearly 30 hours out of the battery, you just got to know how manage the drain resources. So yeah im pretty impressed by that.

I use a profiles app,

ex of one of my profiles: when I am at home, I have it set to turn off bluetooth, turn on wifi, turn screen brightness down and the screen is on a short timeout timer. I also have gps turn off.

then there is a "car mode" profile: it turns of wifi, sets brightness to automatic, turns on bluetooth to connect to my vehicle and turns on GPS

Dont leave things like FB and Twitter auto-refresh less than once an hour, I had used that on the charge when I first got it (used it on my X) where it updated 15 every 15-30 mins, besides realizing its pointless, it drained the battery pretty quickly.

now the 30 hours was during mixed use, a few phone calls, some browsing and some app installing and such. I don't expect to get that out of heavy times and definitely not when playing games.

It should also be pointed out that 4G is not available in my area, so I have it set to CDMA only so that it's not trying to constantly find 4G coverage.

Damn i almost spat my coffee lol

my TB would die in under 3 hours, im a heavy business user but that was bad bad bad for any phone, my TB would still drain battery while plugged into my car charger while using gps, all the charger did was stop it from dying withing 30 mins lol

loved the TB hated the signal and battery!

The first day I had my Charge it had really bad battery life. The next day (after running the battery all the way down and then charging back up) it was much better, and now it's always like that. It still doesn't compare to the Droid X, but I knew that before buying, and I've got the better screen and 4G.
