Is it just me or does anyone else avoid purchasing anything without a brand name?

I buy unbranded stuff fairly often. Many CE items end up being manufactured by a very small handful of companies and sold by a much larger handful. A small "useful but not required" item like this I'd consider a commodity item where I'd rather save money avoiding the marketing charge for a brand name. For something I need to work all the time, I'd be more likely to go for a brand name for the warranty.

Just got the same keyboard. It works, but I am trying to figure out how to access such functions as back, menu and the task switcher. Have you been able to find a way to do these without hitting the icons on the status line, but from the keyboard?
