no its not a silly question

You dont need to root your SGS II before you can flash this Rom

Just flash it and your SGS II will be rooted and you will not get the yellow warning triangle and the custom binary download will not count

Nothing is removed from the Rom
Its that small because i packed the Rom.

hey man, I don't know how deep you are into rom development yet, but could you maybe look into removing the power toggles in the notification area? Is that possible, or making it somehow optional?
That's the only thing that still bugs me a bit on the sgs2, finding a fully functional power/energy widget that isn't as limited as the samsung default one.
All the market widgets (Widgetsoid,Extended Controls etc.) are at some point not Gingerbread ready.
Only widget I know that works perfectly is the one from CM7, but that's somehow integrated into the CM7 settings.apk, so probably not easy to port .... :(
