[Q] Is this a legit root?

I found this but it looks to me to be a domain placeholder or something.
It describes using unrevoked to root the incredible 2

if it's not real, what method does unrevoked use that won't work with the I2?

It says:

"This works on any HTC phone, so if you have a different phone than the Incredible 2, just select whatever phone you have."

Totally incorrect. It will not work on any other device than the ones listed on the unrevoked website. You can try it if you want, but odds are that it will brick your phone.

Like brick brick? or could I revive it with an sbf?

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't try it. If unrevoked worked for any of the new HTC devices, we would have known about it long ago.
