[Q] Can the signed, shipped roms be edited?

Noob qustion!

Since root & S-off are now out of the question, is it possible to edit original HTC ROMs, like changing the framwork file & libwebcore, and then re-flash the edited ROM? Or does this still require Root/S-off?

No, that is not possible. That would lead to a missmatch in the signature

Htc turned it on on the wildfire with a update so im pretty sure a simple update can turn it off if htc signs the update so it would just have to be flashed in the bootloader
