Talking Screen size comparison (7", 8.9", 9.7", 10.1")

Got all the size comparisons using this calculator:

http://www.silisoftware.com/tools/screen.php

Number in bracket is mm.

Code:
Diagonal:  7.0" (16:10) --> W= 5.9" (149.86) and H=3.7" (93.98)
Diagonal:  8.9" (16:10) --> W= 7.5" (190.50) and H=4.7" (119.38)
Diagonal:  9.7" ( 4:3 ) --> W= 7.8" (198.12) and H=5.8" (147.32)
Diagonal: 10.1" (16:10) --> W= 8.6" (218.44) and H=5.4" (137.16)
Original question:

Please if anyone can help me here. I am not good with math

For the Samsaung Galaxy Tab 8.9" model.

If the diagonal length of the screen is 8.9 inch, and the screen aspect ratio is 16:10.

What is the screen height and width in milimiter?

Thanks.

Thanks

Now I can make a mock screen from paper and place it on my iPad, to see how big it is.

Make up mock ups of all screen sizes, make photos, post them here.
You would help a lot of ppl.

Especially that it is next to impossible to go to the shop and play with 5 or 6 tablets before making a choice :(.

Then draw some Touchwiz interface vs vanilla HC into the mockup screen. Then make mock ups of with and without micro sd slots.

Geez guys, wait for the final product to come out and try for yourself. Other than that, just continue imagine it...

And when all of this is done... maybe you could actually make 3d mockups? :)

BTW: remember , when you will be doing screens - ,make sure they show something so we can also compare quality and viewing angles :)

I need this comparison to help me choose between 8.9" v 10.1"

I have an iPad2 as reference (screen size).

The 8.9 probably is a bit too small (the height). Although the width is more or less the same with the iPad2.

I cant believe that I have done it. So, I made the mock up tablets from paper for both 8.9" and 10.1".

And I think I will buy the 10.1".

It is a bit wider than iPad2.

Because the 8.9" is just too small. It is indeed more portable, but too small.

Now I am convinced, the 10.1" is the way to go!
