Once you flash a gt-i9100 rom, the ability to use DMB will be lost. That's a common problem in flashing other roms than the official korean to shw-m250 variants since Korea I think is the only country that widely uses DMB on mobile phones.

Actually if you flash your phone to i9100, you will lose the NFC capability but no worries. Thanks to the hardworking XDA guys who added this feature to our phone. Check this link and read carefully. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=102
For vibration that's a common problem when flashing i9100 kernels to our m250*. Its quite irritating since it so weak that you can't even feel it, but not big deal for me but let's hope that some good guy out there could fix it.
For kernel, it's your choice. There are various kernels out there. Just compare them and choose which is best for your taste. I'm currently using Siyah Kernel 3.2b8 and it's really good.

I think it's the ICS rom whose at fault here. It really absorbs battery too much when there are activities going on on background but at sleep only around 1% is eaten. It's the same with the latest Korean ICS rom. I'm using a custom rom right now which is Omega rom aokp version with siyah kernel and my phone last for 22 hours(sometimes more than a day) with 13% battery remaining with heavy usage of wifi and some games.
Phone: Korean Samsung Galaxy S2(shw-m250s)<GT-I9100>
ROM: [XWLSS] Alliance ROM V8 <JB 4.1.2>
Kernel: Stock for now
