Are you rooted already? Is there already an icon on your drawer app with an android skull or something like that? If yes then go to menu on es file explorer then scroll down to the bottom. There you will see an option for Root Explorer. Tick it then it will ask you for superuser permission(grant it) then your good to go. Just follow the guide by memorycontroller.

One last thing, I've got yellow triangle .. And I tried to used usb jig for the first time since I bought it, but the triangle is still there.. by the way, I used the cf-root process in rooting my s2.. Thanks.. and thanks to memorycontroller too.

There's an app named [root]Triangle Away by Chainfire from Google play that can remove the yellow triangle and reset your binary counter as well but I still don't know if it "WORKS" on m250*. Well I need to do more research since I also want to remove that irritating yellow triangle. As long as you flash a custom rom and kernel, it will always be there. Well at least you have already turned your m250s to I9100, congrats

Thanx for this thread.There are huge question and answers. I am using Korean Galaxy s2 (shw-m250s). As you know there are only two languages ie. Eglish and Korean. I want Russian ROM or at least Russian language pack included. Does anyone suggest me which rom I should install. Thank you again.

If you want a Russian rom you must first turn your m250s to gt-i9100 then flash the official russian rom that can be found on samfirmware(don't forget to include the i9100 pit file). I think there's no language pack other than english and korean on the stock korean rom.

What kind of problems are you having? Are you on a stock rom(the default one when you bought it)?

Thank you. But I am new on flashing galaxy s2. How can I turn my m250s to i9100? Could you plz give me some tips. I have read some threads on this forum related to this issue. However they are too old to convince me. I am afraid of bricking my phone.

yup, you're right, I'll just ignore it.. thanks btw.. I have this problem, everytime I restart my phone the homekey button is not functioning, and when I hold down the lock button, it only gives me two options, the turn-off and restart, compare before It has five option including the silent mode, data, flight mod, turn off and restart.. but It will be fixed everytime I delete the keystr file and create another one.. Are you having the same problem? Thanks..

just try to flash it with I9100 2.3.6 official roms.
just visit sammobile.com and you can download official firmware there. and download odin software and install kies software on your computer..

Hey dude, I have successfully installed custom ROM(GT-I9100) on Korean version of Galaxy S2(SHW-M250S). Everything is fine except two problems:

1. Lock screen is not working.
2. When I long press the power button it just shuts down not showing pop up menu to chose (reboot, shutdown, airplane, etc).

Is your phone rooted? If yes follow this method by MemoryController(thanks for this )
1. Using a root browser navigate to /efs/imei
2. Create file "keystr"
3. Open it as text and write "ON"
4. Set permissions to rwx rwx rwx
5. Reboot

Hmmmm. I'm not having those kind of problems. When you flashed the i9100 rom, did you do factory reset of your phone? You need to wipe your phone first to get rid of some problems. Be sure you have backup of apps and data that are important. Also did you set permissions on keystr?
