I use widget locker with the HTC Lockscreen removed and I've been a lot happier. I was unable to set the 4 shortcuts in HTC Sense because it would fc within seconds of loading. I had tried all of the advice related to Sense fc's and nothing worked.

Did you save the file and cleared data from HTC sense in settings?

I tried this with root explorer and saw exactly what mike referred too.
I didn't need to change it but I looked to see if it was visible and it was.

what i ended up doing is freezing sense, and using the sense lockscreen with no shortcuts, that way the status bar can still be pulled down to check notifications from the lock screen and caller id and txt messages still show up.

the stock screen gives :
clock
unlock
camera
pull down notifications


the regular sense screen gives you ability to:
unlock
see weather in the morning
see and answer/reject incoming calls
see incoming messages
pull down notification bar without unlocking
clock
