Sebastian's New kernel is working fine for me. I left it at its normal setting (1.5 I guess) and it is noticably faster.

I had unbelievable battery usage with the stock kernel, I'll monitor to see if it gets worse with this.

My main worry was losing the Backlight HDR mode on the camera, but it is fine.

Paul.... please keep us abreast of the battery usage. I am getting really good battery usage now. Plus speed... I am thinking of flashing the new kernel. Thanks!

My only concern as well. I did a NAND and would not hesitate to go back if I'm less than thrilled with battery usage.

I'll post my results in a couple of days.

A nandroid does not restore the kernel, does it? At least is/was my understanding.

It would be good to have the stock kernel available at any rate.

Yeah it does, you only need to backup boot and system to be able to restore your original kernel.

The stock kernel is in the release zip. Look for zlmage.
