My HD2 was easier to change than this G1.

yes I was trying that, and also looking at the unlockr video to see how they show it.

Finally success!! I used my mother-in-laws sim card to get the phone up and running. followed the steps as listed.A lot easier that way. For whatever reason I could not get this phone taking to the computer. I finally installed Froyomelt1.9, I like it!!
Thanks for being there!

Thanks for this. I used Cyanogenmod since v5 and left my G1 on CM6 until I decided to try this out. I think it would be useful for anyone coming from the official CM version to know that all they need do is start from Step 3. Upgrading to 2.22.28.25/1.33.0013d. Cheers buddy

lol no prob, and yes thats tru but some people have diferent radio/spl so not everyone can just start at step 3, step 3 is the most risky part of the guide, flashing radio and spl via recovery is risky there are many things that can go wong (brick) so its not reccomended to use this guide... but i tried to list as man warnings and also reccomend visiting exterry 2708+ post for more instructions/knowledge about flashing radios and spl's... but thank yu, makes me feel better knowing someone actually did it right lol....

I read that post first but found your instructions a little easier to follow. For me it was easy; was up and running CM7.1 in no time.
Happy days

That is not what he recommended or meant. He said that he does not recommended everyone to start at Step 3, Since it is the most critical step and can cause your G1 to brick.
Current Phone: Galaxy S II [i777] > ROM: SHOstock3 Latest Released!!! [Got My Jelly Bean as of 1/29/2013]
Retired Phone: G1 Black 32B (unlocked) on AT&T | (Bricked as of 11/1/2011 [Due to my $tuP!t!d!ty for not using fastboot WARNING])
