dont buy charger from ebay..)) go to local shop and get one universal for samsung.. the charger is the same as for SGS1 mate....

second thing is the same - for car charger...just buy a charger with micro USB even for HTC or NOKIA..they are all the same...

dont make things complicated...

W.r.t. car chargers: They are not all the same !
The difference is in the charge current they can support.
There are 500 mAmp versions;
There are 1000 mAmp (1 Amp) versions;
And then there are a few 2000 mAmp (2 Amp) versions.

I would at least get a 1 Amp version to be sure that charging is more than an active SII would alreday consume (GPS, Bluetooth,...)
I myself bought a 2 Amp version.

(Note the standard Samsung Wall-plug delivers 700 mAmp.

Have you used the 2A charger with the SGS2? If so did you experience any problems like overheating, stopped working etc?
How about charging time is it any faster?

I'm thinking of using my old HTC charger 5v 2a and would like to hear your thoughts

Thank you.

I always used 1A 5v car charger for every phone I owned. but with gs2, it made me sick. overvolting everytime, both with 1A and 250A (btw better 250..) and it causes freezing.
more A isnt better, our galaxy has an internal chip wich brings A to 0.7A anyway, even with 10A input.
buy an original samsung car charger

I too would be interested to hear how your 2A charger goes. Especially for long journeys (e.g 2 hrs+) with GPS on the whole time!
