But dunno why, they never seem to work well with my device. Instead it ends up completely messing up my phone. And that's not just the case with CM7, the same happened with almost every ROM that I've tried flashing/updating via CWM!

After updating to RC3 and latest 1.8 kernel, I noticed sound distortions & stuttering every 10 seconds or so. (Although I have only tested on FLAC files.) I went back to my computer, flashed Latest G3MOD. Got same issuse. But, after playing for some time, the distortion was almost gone. I still get it at the beginning & end of track. Also when i reduced SD value to 1028, I noticed some improvement.

Has anybody experienced any issue with the Combination of CMRC3 + CM 1.8 Kernel + FLAC files?

Skype not working

Hi, today i installed Skype. I'm able to open it and to put my username and password. When i tap the login button, however, it suddenly crash without giving any error... it just closes as i never started the app.
I took a look at the logcat but cannot figure out if it is rom related or something.
Did someone manage to get Skype working?
By the way, i'm on a8.1, i do not have time to update to a8.2 and restore all my apps and data but i will do if it works in a8.2.

I had similar problem with different players, however I came from 2.2 to CM 7.2 RC2 so I didn't know that previous versions doesn't have this problem.

I tested the same song in different formats (Flac, MP3 V0) and it's the same.

Never had any problems.You can

Sorry, but he asked for skype..not swype..i had the same problem with skype and i just wiped cache and reinstalled the application..that worked for me..dont know if its a proper solution..try it..

the problem was not their till cm alpha 7, but from alpha 8 and since marcel told no kernel included in his RC3 changelog.. sound issues with 1.8 kernel might continue as well...

1-Skype: I use it and it works in 8.1a & 8.2, I don't have any idea of this crash reason
2-Music playback clicks&saturation: I don't have this problem and I think I know why: I use Autostarts app to avoid autostart of almost all my apps, and I use PlayerPro without anything else running. I noticed that then for example facebook is running in background ... clicks appears ...
