This mod is in a gray area - its almost in the same boat as warez. You're trying to find a way to screw the carrier and go against a contact you signed. We've decided it can stay as long as it doesn't cause problems, however if you guys cant get along i'll just delete the thread.
you should delete from post 81 and all other post after that, that are useless to helping out this thread

Hold up there one sec, I think my post #95 is the most simple and practical solution to test if this is actually working. It would just take two people two test it that have this mod.

Default possible mod on upcoming devices if proven to work?

Just wondering if there will b further development on future devices if proven to work? I just applied the mod and will report results after going over the 5gb data cap.

Okay so I put this mod onto my phone yesterday because I knew I was going to hit 5gb today. My rate plan starts over on saturday so I've still got another day. So far on tmobile, it says I've hit 5.21gb and on the my account app, it says I've hit 5.10gb (updates slower I guess).

My question is, how long does it take after you pass the 5gb limit to get throttled so I know if its working or not. I'm watching netflix on my phone just to push the limit lol

If this works, which I hope it does, I'll show screen shots

Edit: I've been throttled before a few months ago and so I downloaded 3g watchdog to make sure I don't anymore. This is the first time since then I'm passing 5gb again. And I also still have the old g1 plan on tmobile

Remember, don't flash another ROM while using the MOD.
Owner of an HTC Sensation (primary), HTC myTouch 4G, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

All My HTC Glacier ROMs have been retired, I lost them all when Multiupload went away Thanks to those who downloaded and supported.

I haven't gotten the text yet, but on the tmobile account app it says I've been throttled. Do you get the throttle text even if you're using this method?

You can flash another rom....but you MUST change service.jar file before rebooting the phone....or you'll get throttled the moment you phone receives a signal
