Default XYZ2MP4 - Fast Video Muxer/Converter to MP4 for Your Mobile Toys

I've posted a smart muxer/converter script to convert videos to MP4 for mobile devices. AV recoding is only if needed. Encoding 1-pass constant-quality for best speed and highest consistent quality. It's specifically geared for Tegra2's capabilities, although you can of course use it as a general-purpose muxer/converter. Try it out.

Supported formats: MKV MP4 M4V MOV WMV AVI MPEG1 MPEG2 FLV RM RMVB OGM

NB: Please read the post before running it. You need to install AVISynth and FFDShow. Links are in the post.

Yes, it's free. There is another script to deal with DVDs, linked in the 2nd post of the thread.

The script's ace that isn't found in any other converter is that it's very fast. It only recodes the video or audio only if needed. Unlike simple remuxers that only work on H.264, it can deal with a variety of video formats.

It uses 1-pass constant-quality to encode, which is the fastest and has highest consistent quality. And it's easy to use, just drag-drop. Drop one or 10 movies, or one or 10 folders. It will process them all.

The script's weakness is that, well, it's a script. There is no GUI, only a console interface. People like fancy interface with pretty colors.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm afraid getting Clearfi to work is a little out of my jurisdiction.

I think it's really nice because it works really fast.
