What is the wire hooked into? the USB port on the keyboard?

If it's to the USB on the keyboard, I wonder if this would work if you tried to connect this to the MicroSD slot: MicroSD to USB adapter

it wont work with that SD to USB adapter as the micro SD drivers are expecting memory, not a data stream from a controller (note it is for connecting a storage device through microsd nothing more).
