Droid Touchscreen Not Working

Hello,

I recently took apart an original Motorola Droid just to see what it looked like inside, and to indulge my friend's curiosity (since it's technically her phone). Since I did that, the touchscreen no longer works at all. (which she's not wild about, though thankfully she does have another phone).

The glass on the screen is cracked, but the display assembly itself is fine. I made sure to put all of the connectors back in their right places, and even took the phone apart again to make sure that everything is assembled correctly.

Does anyone have any insights or thoughts on how to get the touchscreen working again? (Please? So my friend doesn't kill me?)
