Lets point somethings out. Your dock also has 2 usb ports and an sd card reader. These two features give the dock quite a bit of added flexability when it comes to emulating a full blown laptop. To name just a few ways you can use these features : Portable hard drive, usb flash drives for music, movies, documents and media. ub mouse, usb keyboard (sound redundant but you can do it) charge your phone, connect your camera...
I can go all day, use your imagination. The dock's main draw is easy typing, connectivity, and longevity via battery pack. It's not suppose to turn the tablet into a netbook it's ment to make your tablet better than they other tabelets out there. Which if you want proof, find some tool with an Ipad and pop this thing in and out of the dock and watch his EEEpad envy grow.
