At&t/T-Mobile Merger commercial

This isn't about the merger commercial where the people are wearing blue shirts that say merger. This is about an official At&t commercial i saw tonight. It was talking about the network and crap, i wasn't really paying attention cause i could care less about At&t, but what caught my attention is that they mentioned the T-Mobile merger. They said "network blah blah blah and with the merger with T-Mobile, we will spread out our network to over 97 million people in the nation." Now, I haven't been keeping up with the merger, but don't they have to wait to be approved by the FCC to mention it? It sounded a lot as if it happened, or will happen, like they are 100% sure the FCC will approve. Not sure if anyone else caught the commercial. I looked for it online but no luck.

I'm sure the AT&T commercial you saw is part of AT&T's "feel-good" campaign to convince the uninformed masses that the merger is a good thing. I think AT&T's feeling too confident that the FTC will approve the merger. But then again, money talks.

This is very true

And they are spreading it out money that is. Also all the organizations ATT donates to like the NAACP are lobbying for ATT.
