[Q] How do I disable the recording sounds

When taking a video with the stock rom the phone plays a sound when starting and ending the recording. It does this even when the phone is set top silent. Is there a way to make it obey my volume settings? If not how can I disable the sounds?

I think you can go to /system/media/ui and delete the audiofiles for camera sounds.

in stock rom I had a setting for disabling sound, are you sure you don't have that?

Hi, I believe that's for picture only and not video...

/system/media/audio/ui/VideoRecord.ogg for video, /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg for pictures

i renamed the audio files to .bak but it still clicks. doesn't work. Should i remove it completely?
