My gf just has a old texting phone. She thinks I'm nuts with how much time and effort I put into my phone. I couldn't even imagine how much she would hate my phone if I tried being a dev. YIKES!

I'm a female, and older than newandroidluvr. My Epic is rooted and running Froyo with DK28 and EXT4. Today I'm playing with a new boot animation. I also have a Pandigital Novel that I bought a year ago and hacked and rooted within a couple of hours. (What took so long? Well, I had to get it home.)

Husband and son are both on XDA.

mom: "have you rooted your phone yet?" (equivalent to finishing chores or eating your vegetables)
