Default [Q] Multimedia dock + Atrix + external hard drive, is it possible?

Hello

I own a motorola atrix and recently i took an interest in the multimedia hd to stream series and movies in 1080p resolution to my tv, i usually do it by just plugging the hdmi cable, but, i quickly realized that the problem is the storage, i only have 16 gb + 16gb microsd card, every1 knows that on 1080p resolution you cant put more than a few movies on the phone to take all that space.

My question is simple, if i buy the multimedia dock could i plug an external hard drive on one of the usb ports (of the multimedia dock) so i can use my atrix to display those videos? is it possible?

Thanks

Yup. I do it with the Lapdock all the time. Just make sure it's FAT32 (or any *nix FS), it doesn't read NTFS drives.

Has anyone tried installing ntfs3g in the full ubuntu mod? That could allow for any external with ntfs as well.

Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App

If I recall correctly FAT32 has some sort of File Size limitation but that could be something in the past that I am recalling. Either way this might help...http://www.overclock.net/hard-drives...partition.html
