is it the update for honeycomb 3.1?
if we use the update , can we still have benefit of next update by OTA ?

Kernel version doesn't matter, you have to be on Acer_A500_1.104.02_COM_GEN1.

But your OP states this update is for people on 1.139.05. Please can you clarify?

The ones he posted on the second page are for 104.02_COM_GEN1 the first post ones are different for 1.139.05

Is this what your tablet now says AFTER running the update.zip in the OP?

When I do that, I have something like that

with Android Robot

At the boot and after few seconds the tablet reboot and... I stay on 141.05

Any idears ?

That is one version of the stock software that came on the tablet, just check what you're tablet current build number is. Settings > about tablet >build number and see if it matches the updates that were posted here

If you are on 141.05 there does not seem to be an update that can take you to either 1.144.07 or 1.141.07 that is posted in this thread
