can i change the operating system from froyo 2.2.1 to gingerbread 2.3 ?

i have u8800 kernel 2.6.32.9 perf , build number u8800hv100r001arec00b136sp01,custom version custc213d001. android 2.2.1 FROYO .

can i change the operating system from froyo 2.2.1 to gingerbread 2.3 ?
and if their any other brand i can use rom?

Check the development section. Right now we have so many threads about 2.3.

You can upgrade to the 2.3.5 Beta version .
I first upgraded to 2.2.2 ( U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04(Overseas General) ) and then to 2.3.5.

The next Beta release will be online next Thursday as too many people reported issues .... but for me it runs fine.
