Yes, after the tools are released we can root every new official rom from asus

This allows us to use APX mode! I hope a developer can use this ASAP and its the correct one. APX mode will open up some awesome doors like being able to unbrick any TF from any situation.

I am using HC3.1 (8.4.4.5_US) on my UK-TF101 and it works like a charm. If even a bavarianguy can handle it, you are able to too!

Supercurio's tool generated a clockworkmod flashable zip, this is for rooting the official rom without a recovery.

there are subtle differences between US and other regions, usually Wifi channels, sometimes GPS and Bluetooth differences.

I'm not really try out a US ROM and beta test it. I would rather have a known quantity (namely a 3.1 stock rom, rooted and the updater removed/disabled -thats all). Once you have that, I can tinker with other bits myself and I am in complete control of the changes and not reliant on what others want (DEODEX, APPS2SD, Boot Logos etc)

I have no GPS- and WLAN-issues, so i cant see the point why not using us-stock rooted.
