I'm having problems getting data. I was on EB04. Flashed EC09, flashed CWM4-fixed. Flashed ROM, flashed gapps... everything else works fine.

CM7 on my Nook Color does the exact same thing - boots as soon as it's plugged in. Hopefully it's just a bug common to these two devices and not an intentional part of CM (can't for the life of me think of a single reason it's useful).

Can anyone who's used build 11 confirm whether or not the camcorder/video recording bug is still there? I was getting horrible stuttering and skipping in any video I tried to take. With a 2 year old son, I just can't afford to miss those impromptu moments, so I've regrettably downgraded back to ED01 where the camera/camcorder works perfectly. On the plus side, ED01 isn't really that bad at all, visually, I actually kinda like it.

It's a bug. Neither my D1 or Eris did that. (which brings up an interesting point about nightlies, because the Eris was merged into CM7 late last year, and still has yet to show up in the "official" nightly build list. hopefully we aren't left waiting this long)

No issues here. What kernel are you using? I recorded a karaoke session Saturday night in 720p with no problem. Infact I don't think I've had a camera issues on any of the recent builds.

Appears it is a known issue. (I can't post links yet so sorry for the trouble)

Stock kernel that came with CM7. Video looks like it records fine, but the display is in slow motion. Playback is ok speed-wise, but there's large skips and repeats where the video will flick back 1/2 a second or so repeatedly.

I thought it might be my SD card (it was replaced last year after the stock one died), but I never had an issue on any stock rom. After downgrading to ED01, I can confirm the skipping is in the actual video I recorded on CM7, it's not just a playback issue.

Default CWM4 in OP broke?

I wanted to try out MIUI and did a backup of CM7 and tried MIUI for a day or two, backed up MIUI and restored back to CM7. I take it we're still having problems with backups and restores? I got some really weird stuff that was going on.

Anyways, that's not the point of this post.

Ok, so I had to reinstall the rom. I went back to stock EB01 with a repartition (that worked fine). Then I tried flashing the ODIN of "cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar" and as soon as I would do that, my Fascinate would not boot at all. As far as I could tell, it would not even begin to power up.

I ended up having to flash the old CWM RED "cwm3_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar" And then Installing Zip From SD Card and installing the new 7/14.

But I'm wondering if that failed CWM is the reason for so many people having trouble installing this rom.

Clarification: Why does CM4 soft-brick my fascinate?

CWM red is only for the initial install of cm7 if you are coming from a touch wiz based rom (comrom or evil fascination etc) DO NOT USE IT once you are on cm7. Only boot to recovery through the power menu (long press power, select reboot, select recovery) and you will end up in a blue CWM recovery.

Ugh. That wasn't the point of my post at all.

Ok, let me rephrase. Why is there a "cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar" that is flashable. It seems to do nothing. It soft-bricks my fascinate no matter what ROM I am using.

Its the one you have to use once you are running a CM7 rom. I was able to Odin it to my handset, prior to installing the 07/04 CM7 rom without issues. Loaded 07/04, rebooted into recovery and when I flashed 07/13 CM7 it updated CWR to 4.0.0.2 Blue. You are using Odin to flash the "cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar" file correct? That file is not flashable in recovery.
