Apparently the patch isn't working very well for JellyBean ROMs. I'll have a look as soon as I get the time...

The good news is, Galaxy S III stock (ICS) ROMs are now officially supported, as I have an S III now

Hi there!

Here's another voice for Jelly Bean support.

But I'd like to ask if you have any ideas why this patch is not working correctly on JB?
I may volunteer for trying things on JB device if you don't have a target to play with.

Thanks a lot for this patch, it works great on my ICS ROM.

I have one feature request, if it makes sense to add in same or another patch. I know this is about Email.apk, but the "VPN" settings in Android (ICS in my case) also enforces to enable at least the PIN lock. Due to this, using built-in VPN is not intuitive. Could the patch be extended to patch the VPN application so that it can't enforce the PIN lock?

Default Updates to server fail

Installed the patch per instructions. All went smoothly. And it sort of works, I connected to Exchange, getting new mail.
But, any state changes on the client (reading a message, removing a message) are not pushed back to the server. For example - deleted one of the messages, closed app, several seconds later got "new email" on status bar. Opened mail - deleted message is back. Repeated several times with no luck. Also, in several minutes ate through 10% of battery - and status showed that it's Exchange that consumed the power. Will probably have to go back to PIN

Seems to be working okay for me on Jelly Bean. Some odd issues here and there where it fails to connect to the server for no obvious reason while Touchdown works without issue.

Galaxy Nexus on Jelly Belly 5.4 (Jelly Bean 4.1.1) However I had to patch Exchange2.apk instead of Exchange.apk manually for Jelly Bean.
