Thanks for this, I have the 10.1v and would like to know if this will work. I can't wait to try Will wait for confirmation first though.

is it possible to just boot using this 3.1 rom without flashing to test on the 10.1v?

The update is a delta update. It doesn't re-flash /system but overwrites applications and updates their parts. This is why removing the stock apps - such as in my case - you cannot complete the update since it's trying to change parts of the apps and not simply drop in a replacement.

You cannot lose root to this update since it doesn't know about Superuser.apk and su.

This is a vanilla system with no su or superuser. It is not a delta. It is a complete system.

Put back su/superuser after flash and after your back up.
